Minnesota Lynx Defeat Las Vegas Aces 100-86

LAS VEGAS — Alanna Smith scored 18 points and Kayla McBride had 16 points and eight assists as the Minnesota Lynx secured a 100-86 victory over the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday night.

All five starters for Minnesota (9-3) scored in double digits, with Bridget Carleton and Courtney Williams contributing 15 points each, while Napheesa Collier added 14 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

The Las Vegas Aces (5-5) suffered their third consecutive loss, marking their worst 10-game start to a season since 2018.

Alysha Clark, Megan Gustafson, and Kelsey Plum each hit two 3-pointers in the first quarter, allowing Las Vegas to take a 31-29 lead. However, the Aces struggled in the following two quarters, managing only 29 points combined, falling behind 78-60 by the start of the fourth quarter.

Although the Aces cut the deficit to 86-74 with 4:39 remaining, they failed to score another field goal until the 1:46 mark.

A’ja Wilson led the Las Vegas Aces with 28 points, extending her WNBA record by scoring at least 20 points in 15 consecutive games. Plum contributed 13 points, with 11 scored in the first half. Jackie Young, who had been dealing with an illness, scored in single digits for the second straight game.

Carleton’s 3-pointer just before halftime extended Minnesota’s lead to 59-48.
