Is there preloading for Shadow of the Erdtree?
There is no preloading option for Shadow of the Erdtree on PC or Xbox. However, the expansion has a smaller file size at around 15 gigabytes. PlayStation users can preload 48 hours before launch.
When does Shadow of the Erdtree launch?
For PC players, Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree will launch at 3 pm PDT / 11 pm BST on Thursday, June 20. In Japan, it releases at 7 am on June 21. Here are the global launch times for PC in other zones:
- 3 pm PDT June 20 (Los Angeles)
- 6 pm EDT (New York)
- 11 pm BST (London)
- 8 am AEST June 21 (Sydney)
- 10 am NZST June 21 (Auckland)
Console players will have a rolling launch at midnight local time in most regions, except for the US where it releases at 12 am Eastern, 9 pm Pacific on June 20.
Who gets to play Shadow of the Erdtree first?
The first players with access to Shadow of the Erdtree will be console players in New Zealand at midnight local time on June 21, giving them a head start on PC players. Then PC players worldwide will join in, followed by console players in the western hemisphere. The release schedule aligns with the complex world of Elden Ring’s main story.
