Democratic strategist Bakari Sellers advised the Biden campaign not to concentrate solely on securing the Black vote in Atlanta metro in Georgia.
Sellers, a CNN analyst, shared his insights on The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s “Politically Georgia” show before the CNN Debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
“They need to actively engage with the rural areas as well. Many assume that Black voters are only in Atlanta, but that’s not the case. They are present in various rural locations too,” mentioned the Morehouse graduate.
According to a recent poll by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, about one-fifth of Black voters in Georgia are not satisfied with Biden’s performance. However, data from the presidential primary in March indicated that 95% of Black voters in the state voted on a Democratic ballot.
