Debuted at MWC Shanghai to attract the interest of handset vendors, edge and industrial computing companies, and action camera manufacturers in China, the AirJet Mini Sport is an upgraded version of Frore’s AirJet Mini Slim. This new iteration has been completely waterproofed, offering IP68 protection that enables it to function even when submerged in water up to 1.5 meters deep for half an hour. Internally, the AirJet Mini Sport can efficiently dissipate 5.25 Watts of heat with 1750 Pascals of back pressure while consuming just 1 Watt of energy.
Frore also asserts that the AirJet Mini Sport can provide smartphones with 2.5 Watts of cooling capacity. While this may not cover the entire power consumption or heat dissipation of a high-end System-on-Chip (SoC), it can significantly boost both burst and continuous performance by allowing these chips to operate at peak speeds and power levels for longer periods.
To ensure consistent performance across different environments, the AirJet Mini Sport from Frore features dust resistance and self-cleaning capabilities. Like its predecessor, the AirJet Mini Slim, the Sport variant includes its own thermal sensor to regulate its operations and maintain optimal efficiency. Consequently, Frore claims that smartphones and action cameras equipped with the AirJet Mini Sport can achieve up to 80% better performance.
“We are pleased to introduce the waterproof AirJet Mini Sport,” stated Dr. Seshu Madhavapeddy, the founder and CEO of Frore Systems. “Consumers are seeking enhanced performance in compact devices that can be used anywhere, whether on land or in water. AirJet boosts device performance, empowering users to accomplish more with their IP68-certified dustproof and waterproof devices.”
