Cartoon Network series creator arrested for child pornography charges

BURBANK, Calif. (WKRC) – A Cartoon Network series creator has been arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography.
USA Today reported that 45-year-old Kyle Carrozza, the creator of “Mighty Magiwords,” was arrested in Burbank, California on June 20 for two counts of child pornography possession.
According to reports, Carrozza has worked on various animated series like “Adventure Time,” “Fish Hooks,” “Fanboy & Chum Chum,” and “Teen Titans Go!”, and contributed as an animator for “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.” “Mighty Magiwords” premiered online in 2015 as Cartoon Network’s initial original series and later aired as a full-length show on television in 2016, concluding in 2019.
USA Today also mentioned that Carrozza was involved in the series as a voice actor, composer, and executive producer.
In California, child pornography charges can lead to either a misdemeanor or felony with penalties of up to one year in county jail or three years in state prison and/or a $2,500 fine.
