Anthropic, the developer of ClaudeAI, has introduced a new Android application for its artificial intelligence chatbot. Named Claude by Anthropic, this app grants free usage of the company’s ChatGPT rival along with the Claude 3.5 Sonnet model.
In their announcement, Anthropic stated, “The new Claude Android app extends the capabilities of Claude to Android users, including our powerful model, Claude 3.5 Sonnet. The app is free and accessible with all subscription plans, such as Pro and Team”.

Features of ClaudeAI Android app

The venture, backed by e-commerce titan Amazon, assures that the Claude Android application functions similarly to Claude on iOS and the web. Users can expect the following features:

  • Multi-platform support: Seamlessly switch between conversations on Claude’s web, iOS, and Android apps
  • Vision capabilities: Capture new images for instant image analysis or upload files
  • Multilingual processing: Translate languages in real-time for better communication and understanding of the world
  • Advanced reasoning: Utilize Claude for complex problem-solving tasks, such as contract analysis during travels or market research for meetings

How to download the Claude app on your smartphone

Claude by Anthropic is now accessible on the Google Play Store. Interested users can simply visit the Play Store on their Android devices and install the app.
Earlier this year in May, Anthropic unveiled the iOS app for ClaudeAI alongside the Teams subscription scheme. Priced at $30 per user monthly, the team plan enables groups of 5 or more to access the complete range of ClaudeAI models.
