The Toronto Raptors emerged victorious over the Denver Nuggets with a final score of 84-81 in the NBA 2K25 Summer League held at Cox Pavilion on Sunday.

Although there were only three ties and four lead changes during the game, neither team established a substantial lead, with Denver holding a brief 10-point advantage late in the third quarter. Toronto’s strong 28-20 performance in the third quarter propelled them to the win. Toronto was up 79-71 with 3:30 remaining, but Denver rallied with a 10-0 run to take an 81-79 lead with just 90 seconds left. However, the Raptors closed off the game by scoring the final five points to secure the victory. Toronto shot 43.5% from the field, outshooting Denver’s 39.1%. They also dominated the boards with a 51-41 rebound advantage and led in blocks with 11-4.

The Nuggets (0-2) were led by Julian Strawther, who recorded 32 points, three rebounds, and five assists, despite missing the game-tying shot at the buzzer. Trey Alexander contributed 18 points, four rebounds, five assists, and two steals, while PJ Hall added 14 points, six rebounds, and two assists.

The Raptors (2-0) saw Ja’Kobe Walker as their only starting player reaching double figures with 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Javon Freeman-Liberty led the bench players with 16 points, five rebounds, and two assists, while Branden Carlson chipped in with five points, seven rebounds, and six blocks.
