George Strait Sets New Record for Largest Concert Ever Held in the U.S.

Country music icon George Strait addressed a record-breaking crowd of 110,905 fans at Kyle Field in Texas A&M, setting a new attendance record for a ticketed concert in the United States. This surpasses the previous record set by the Grateful Dead in 1977. The event, named George Strait: The King at Kyle Field, also broke the venue’s previous attendance record.

George Strait has achieved numerous milestones throughout his career, including the most No. 1 singles across all genres, consistent top 10 hits for 30 consecutive years, and the most chart-topping albums in country music history. Prior to the concert, he unveiled two new songs from his upcoming album, Cowboys And Dreamers, his 31st release under MCA Nashville, scheduled for release on Sept. 6.
