PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – The Panama City Quality of Life organized a special event for Mother’s Day on Saturday.
On the eve of Mother’s Day, moms had the opportunity to enjoy a paint and brunch session at the Glenwood Community Center.
The event offered complimentary food and a chance to paint with family, creating a delightful experience. Around 30 mothers took part in the event, spending a tranquil Saturday morning accompanied by soothing music and paintbrushes.
Before unleashing their creativity on canvas, the moms indulged in a meal featuring chicken salad croissants, hash brown casserole, an assortment of fruits, and delectable desserts.
This marked the 2nd Annual Paint and Brunch gathering.
Expressing gratitude, Panama City Recreation Program coordinator Tatyanna Bell stated, “I just want to say thank you to everybody in the community as quality of city of Panama City, quality of life. We’re here to serve the community. So we just try to offer different events and programs so they can be. So I hope that we’re doing a great job for you all. And so we love seeing you all spaces.”
Local artist Brianna Bennett guided the mothers in their art endeavors, allowing them to follow her lead or create their own masterpieces.
In consideration of the children present, Bell ensured they were included by providing them with their own canvases and coloring sheets. She mentioned plans to organize something enjoyable for Father’s Day in June.
