The LEGO Group has unveiled a sneak peek at what seems to be an upcoming LEGO The Lord of the Rings set, showcasing a brick-built Barad-dûr.

A brief video posted on the LEGO Group’s social media provides the first official glimpse at a LEGO The Lord of the Rings Barad-dûr. The video features a simple black brick that transforms into a brick-built rendition of the top of Barad-dûr, complete with the flaming eye. Set to dramatic music, the clip includes the quote “The brick has awoken, it has heard its master’s call,” followed by the phrase ‘You can’t hide your passion,’ a nod to the iconic Lord of the Rings quote by Sauron.

The teaser likely hints at an upcoming LEGO The Lord of the Rings set that will join 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell in the LEGO Icons theme. While only the top of Sauron’s Dark Fortress is visible, it is expected that the set will encompass the entire tower.

Based on the preview, it appears that transparent orange bricks will be utilized to replicate the burning eye atop the tower used by Sauron to surveil Middle-Earth, though the animated flames may not be part of the LEGO set.

No further details are known about LEGO Barad-dûr yet, so more information regarding the build, potential minifigures, and other aspects will have to wait until the LEGO Group releases additional information. With this teaser already out, hopefully, an official reveal will not be too far off.
