In a failed attempt to claim a moral victory, the Australian said, “If I saw my players do it, I’d be saying: ‘Mate, seriously?’” No one is advocating for celebrating the dark arts, but successful teams need to be street-smart and know when to be savvy. If Spurs display the same lack of experience at Anfield as they did against Arsenal and Chelsea, Postecoglou might face another defeat. MB
Wharton rivals Olise and Eze for promise
Since being challenged by the exceptional talent of Kevin De Bruyne at Selhurst Park a month ago, Crystal Palace has been in excellent form.
