Ryan Gosling Shares Personal Stories on The Colbert Questionnaire
During his recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Ryan Gosling opened up and answered some intriguing questions posed by the host.
One particular question was whether Gosling had ever requested an autograph from someone. Gosling revealed, “The first person I asked was The Ultimate Warrior, and he declined. But the second person I approached, who graciously gave me an autograph, was Ms. Angela Bassett.”
Gosling reminisced about the moment, which occurred right after he watched the 1993 Tina Turner biopic, What’s Love Got to Do With It, in which Bassett delivered an Oscar-nominated performance. Gosling was in the lobby of an AMC Theatre at that time.
He expressed to Colbert, “It remains one of the best performances I have ever witnessed.” Gosling recounted that Bassett was conversing with actor and comedian Sinbad when he approached her, adding, “I am unsure if they were together at that moment – they were engaged in a discussion.”
