49″ Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 Gaming Monitor $999.99
49″ Samsung Odyssey G95SC 5120×1440 QD OLED Gaming Monitor
The Odyssey OLED G9 is Samsung’s latest high-end Odyssey G-series gaming monitor, replacing the Neo G9. Unlike the Neo G9, the OLED G9 uses a quantum dot OLED panel. OLED panels feature individual self-lit OLEDs that can be independently turned on and off, providing true blacks and excellent contrast ratios. The image quality, especially in HDR, surpasses that of traditional IPS, VA, or TN panels. Samsung’s quantum dot (QD) OLED panels are even more advanced, offering brighter displays and a wider color range compared to standard OLED panels.
The Samsung OLED G9 comes with a swift 0.3ms response time, HDR True Black 400 certification (higher than HDR1400), HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort connections, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro (also NVIDIA G-Sync compatible). It is one of the few OLED 240Hz gaming monitors.
Although not a true 4K monitor, the OLED G9 has a high pixel density in its 49″ display. It provides an ultra-wide viewing experience with a resolution equivalent to two 27″ monitors side by side. Surprisingly, its horizontal pixel count (5,120 pixels) exceeds that of a standard 4K monitor (3,840 pixels). Combined with an 1800R curve, this monitor delivers maximum immersion for gaming.
