The Rolling Stones and the Ozarks may seem like an unusual combination, but nature and a love for fishing have brought them together.
Tickets for the concert will be available starting Friday, May 31 at 10 a.m. For ticket information, visit www.rollingstones.com.
The Rolling Stones announced on Thursday that they will conclude their summer Hackney Diamonds Tour on July 21 at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena, a newly established venue in Missouri created by Bass Pro Shops founder and CEO Johnny Morris.
Morris aims for Thunder Ridge to be recognized as one of the nation’s most beautiful music venues, akin to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Colorado and The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington state.
The Thunder Ridge venue in Ridgedale, near Branson, has a capacity of 20,000, much smaller than the Stones’ previous venue at MetLife Stadium with over 80,000 seats.
The idea of hosting the Rolling Stones in the Ozarks stemmed from Morris’ longstanding passion for fishing and a casual promise from a friend, Chuck Leavell, the Rolling Stones’ touring keyboardist, made during a fishing trip in Canada.
The Thunder Ridge venue has undergone significant improvements since the previous Garth Brooks concert in 2022, which faced criticisms regarding traffic, parking, and accessibility issues.
