What to anticipate in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC
As illustrated in Polygon’s Shadow of the Erdtree preview and initial impressions, the DLC essentially offers more of what makes Elden Ring unique: expansive dungeons, challenging foes, and a profound sense of exploration.
Notably, the expansion, as per our preview, is notably more challenging than the base game and introduces new types of collectibles such as Scadutree Fragments. Story-wise, Shadow of the Erdtree delves into Miquella, who is known as the sibling of Malenia, one of the prominent boss battles from the core game.
If you are gearing up for the expansion and need guidance, refer to our articles on how to access Shadow of the Erdtree and how to prepare for the DLC. At a minimum, you must defeat Radahn and Mohg—a task that roughly two-thirds of players have not accomplished. Best of luck!
